Kawasaki Ninja 250r engine upgrades???

I have a ninja 250 and I want to have at least 500-600cc. I like my 250 but I just want extra pulling away power on the highway.

I work with cars(imports) and dont know much about moto engines.

What could I do? Could

By a new bike it will be easier, and less hastle.

The 500 Ninja engine might be a straight swap.
