Why does the Bridge & Stratton engine in our pressure washer die on run positionbbut it runs on choke position?

Either the carburetor needs cleaned and/or overhauled, the air filter is clogged, the gas is stale, water got into the fuel tank or the gas cap is not venting.
Been repairing small engines for several years.
