About CVT transmision systems?

I've been looking at several cars to buy, and I'm finding that each day more cars offer CVT, at least on the 4 cilinder engines.

I think that the idea of continuos gearing is a great one, and leads to smooth driving, but I don't know

I drive a Honda Civic Hybrid with CVT. I love it. The jerkiness is totally gone. It feels odd until you get used to it, but other than that, it is great. I think it also helps increase gas mileage as well. There is a problem with OLDER CVT's, it seems,
