Which one of the following substances is a liquid fuel used in rocket engines?
Jul 17, 2009 by Kaleigh | Posted in Chemistry
A. LIQUID OXYGEN
B. AMMONIA
C. POTASSIUM
D. CODIUM NITRATE
A is technically an oxidizer, so that probably isn't the most correct answer.
B (Ammonia) has been used as a fuel (in the X-15 for example) but isn't as powerful as Hydrazine and many other fuel choices. So the best answer is B.
